The DeWitt Racing team traveled to the Golden Isles Speedway in Brunswick, Georgia on Saturday night, May 5 for a $1,000 to win weekly show. Brandon DeWitt ran second in heat race action at GIS, which locked him into the outside of the second row in the feature event. Unfortunately, Brandon was caught up in a first-lap wreck in the A-Main and was relegated to a ninth place finish in the 11-car field. A whirlwind week that included his wedding and honeymoon was capped off in style on Saturday night, April 28, as Brandon DeWitt captured the $3,000 top prize at the Waycross Motor Speedway in Waycross, Georgia! Brandon laid down the quickest lap during the National Late Model Series (NLMS) qualifying session and later redrew the outside front row starting spot prior to the 50-lap feature event. The newly-married Barney, Georgia standout grabbed the lead at the drop of the green flag and paced the talented field from wire-to-wire. Brandon picked up the $3,000 payday by beating Ivedent Lloyd, Jr., Darrell Padgett, Brandon Cameron, and Donnie Chappell to the checkers! Brandon DeWitt invaded the Bubba Raceway Park in Ocala, Florida on April 13-14 for the 'Mike Peters Open.' A pair of United Dirt Late Model Challenge Series (UDLMCS) shows were held over the weekend at BRP and a $3,000 payday was on the line each night. On Friday, Brandon claimed a fourteenth place finish in the A-Main, while he wound up thirteenth in the 50-lapper on Saturday. Following a rare weekend off from racing action, Brandon DeWitt returned to Dirt Late Model competition on Saturday night, April 7 at the Golden Isles Speedway in Brunswick, Georgia. A regular weekly show was on tap at GIS and a $1,000 top prize was on the line. Brandon finished fourth in heat race action to earn the inside fourth row starting spot in the night's A-Main. The Barney, Georgia ace then picked off three competitors during the feature to secure a solid fourth place showing. Brandon DeWitt and his #2 team continued their 2012 journey on Saturday night, March 24 at the North Florida Speedway in Lake City, Florida. The United Dirt Late Model Challenge Series (UDLMCS) sanctioned a $3,000 to win program last night at NFS. Brandon ran fifth in his heat race and later started thirteenth on the grid in the A-Main. The Barney, Georgia native was able to move up a couple of spots in his fourth feature event of the year and wound up posting an eleventh place performance. The DeWitt Racing team trekked to the Waycross Motor Speedway in Waycross, Georgia on Saturday evening, March 17 for a $3,000 to win unsanctioned showdown. Brandon DeWitt laid down a would be top five qualifying effort, but he was unfortunately disqualified for using a wrong compound of tire. After starting last in the A-Main, Brandon worked his way up to the tenth spot before retiring from the race in the thirteenth position. Brandon DeWitt and his #2 team returned to the Bubba Raceway Park in Ocala, Florida on Saturday evening, March 10 for their second event of the 2012 campaign. Brandon drew last for his heat race, but moved up to finish in the fourth spot. After rolling off from the inside of the fourth row in the $1,750 to win weekly main event, Brandon advanced past two competitors to record a solid fifth place performance. The Barney, Georgia native crossed the finish line behind only winner Mark Whitener, Jason Fitzgerald, Tyler Ivey, and Richard Ferry. The DeWitt Racing team kicked-off their version of the 2012 racing season on Saturday night, March 3! After the $3,000 to win show was rained-out at the Waycross (GA) Motor Speedway, the #2 team detoured to the Bubba Raceway Park in Ocala, Florida for a $1,750 to win weekly program. Brandon DeWitt didn't have much luck in his heat race, but got the car working much better prior to the A-Main. The Barney, Georgia native started at the tail of the field and worked his way past multiple competitors to earn a steady tenth place finish.
